Hansen shut-off valves are designed specially for refrigeration systems, they have a low pressure drop and can be butt-welded directly to steel piping. The “heart” of Hansen shut-off valves is the patented no-leak seal plus stem packing design. In addition, the stem is polished to avoid packing wear, the precision stem threads avoid stem wobble and the packing nut is close fitting to remove dirt particles and frost from the stem. This results in infrequent maintenance or tightening and almost no refrigerant loss.

The valves are available in globe and angle versions and with hand wheel or a cap over the spindle. They are also available as a liquid regulating valve with a specially designed control unit and as a valve / check valve combination.

• Suction- liquid- and hot gas Lines
• Wet return lines
• Lines for natural circulation
• Oil lines of refrigeration systems

Application of the regulating valves:

• Liquid supply for evaporators with pump circulation
• High pressure- or medium pressure liquid supply to separators or intermediate coolers
• Condensate discharge at defrosting
• Hot gas to evaporators
• Pressure equalization from the evaporator to the suction pressure after defrosting
