High pressure floats

Reliable expansion device for refrigeration systems and heat pumps

The WITT high-pressure float valves are designed as expansion devices between the high- and low-pressure sides of systems with pump circulation or natural circulation. Additionally, these float valves can be used for condensate drainage during hot gas defrosting of evaporators. Thanks to their simple construction and mechanical operation, WITT high-pressure float valves are highly reliable and require virtually no maintenance.

Standard Types of WITT High-Pressure Floats

There are four standard types: HR, FX, HS, and WP.

HR
The HR is the basic version, available in four sizes coded HR1 through HR4. Each size can be supplied with different internal mechanisms, designated as H, M, L, or X.

FX
The FX series is the updated version of the HR floats, offering a wider range of applications. This series includes a greater variety of internal mechanisms and is designed for a nominal pressure of PN40 as standard.

HS
The HS type is specially designed for installation directly beneath water-cooled condensers, which helps reduce system charge. It is also suitable for higher pressures and can be used in heat pumps and CO₂ systems. The HS version is available in three sizes (HS2 to HS4) with various internal configurations (H, M, L).
The HSF model is designed for direct mounting on plate heat exchangers. Instead of a welded top connection, it features a flanged inlet.

WP
The WP version is specifically developed for high-temperature heat pumps and is designed for a pressure rating of 65 bar. It is available in models WP2 and WP3 and is characterized by its unique mounting position above the condenser.
